"Members of Council #8891 pose with the recent award received by the State Deputy for coming in 2nd Place in the Supreme International Award for Council Activities for 2011.  The Council won the State Supreme Award in the Council category last year for its project, which was for building an addition to the home of a brother knight whose wife suffered a severe stroke.  The addition allowed her to come home and have the proper facilities for her wheelchair, hospital bed and other requirements.  Not only did the Council help build the addition but also raised over $15,000 in order to pay for many of the medical costs that the insurance company did not pay for.

Central West Free Throw competition was held at Clarion High School on Feb. 11, 2012.

This year we had 70 District Champions registered, but due to weather and Tournament commitments only 53 competed.  There were champions from 11 Districts representing 22 councils.
